At the Roshni Foundation, we believe that small actions can lead to significant changes, especially when it comes to environmental conservation and supporting underprivileged communities. In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bombay Bayview Charitable Trust and the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Bayview, we are proud to announce our latest initiative: the donation of 6,000 Kesar Mango saplings to underprivileged tribal farmers.
A Commitment to Sustainability and Livelihoods
This initiative is a key part of our ongoing efforts to create an eco-friendly environment while supporting sustainable livelihoods. By providing these Kesar Mango saplings, we aim to make a long-term impact on the environment and the lives of the farmers who receive them. The saplings, which are nearly 6 to 8 feet tall, are provided in large bags to ensure better protection, nourishment, and a higher probability of survival.

The villages of Sogave, Nagzari, Masupada, and Karajgaon are the proud beneficiaries of this year’s donation. The tribal farmers from these communities have embraced the saplings with enthusiasm, understanding the long-term benefits they offer both to their environment and their economy.

Our Ongoing Journey Since 2016
Since our inception in 2016, the Roshni Foundation has been a staunch advocate for tree plantation, recognizing its crucial role in environmental conservation and community well-being. In 2018, we took a step further by committing to the annual donation of Kesar Mango saplings. This initiative has since become a cherished tradition, one that we are eager to continue each year.
The impact of these saplings extends far beyond the initial planting. As the Kesar Mango trees grow, they will not only enrich the natural landscape but also provide a sustainable source of income and nutrition for the tribal communities. The fruit from these trees can be consumed locally or sold, offering a reliable economic benefit that will help in partial malnutrition eradication.
